Since the Cataclysm upgrade for the popular MMO came out, leveling your toon through the first 15 levels is easy. It’s best to remain in your starting area when you finish creating your character. This area is designed to get you leveling easily and reducing your chance of dying. After you hit level 15, the final quest giver you visit will direct you to the next area to start gaining higher levels. If you miss this, which can sometimes happen, it’s time to head for the nearest big in-game city.

Spacewar

In 1961, MIT students at MIT, programmed a game called Spacewar on a computer, new at the time, called the Digital Equipment Corporation Programmed Data Processor-1 (DEC PDP-1).

In the game of Spacewar, two players controlled a spacecraft, firing missiles at each other. In the middle of the screen was a star, hazardous to the spacecrafts. Credited as the first influential computer game, the creators distributed it with new computers, and traded it on what was then, a primitive form of the Internet.

Chase

In 1966, two men who worked at Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH, a military electronics contractor, Ralph Baer and Bill Harrison, created a game titled Chase. This simple game was the first displayed on a television set. The men created the light gun.

In 1967, Bill Rusch joined Baer and Harrison in developing TV gaming apparatus. In 1968, they completed a prototype that ran several games such as target shooting and table tennis. After working on the project secretly and painstakingly for months, the men presented a prototype to Sanders’ R & D department. In 1969, Sanders showed the first video game console to manufacturers and the world.

The older generation today marveled at the craze of video games. Now their children are experts at them and parents take lessons from their kids on the rules of the games.

Although his advice can be helpful at times and sometimes humorous as well, it quickly becomes a bit tiresome, especially after playing the game many times.

The game is quite versatile, as it allows for players to establish “house rules” that ultimately allow for the altering of gameplay to fit a schedule. So, it’s very easy for players to play a quick game, or one that is several hours in length in accordance with specific needs. The game also has an online home, allowing users to compete with other players across the world in real-time.

Finally, because of the amount of options available within the game, each player’s turn can drag on for a minute or more, even with settings in place to keep the game to a shorter length. That said, this is a worthwhile upgrade for anyone who wants to play “Monopoly” on their Xbox 360 platform.

The game allows players to assume the role of any of the three band members in Green Day, while playing their way through chart topping hits that have defined the band’s career. Players can choose any instrument and use it on their choice of 44 songs that represent the best loved portions of the band’s repertoire. Some of the songs are even several minutes in length (such as “Jesus of Suburbia) and have many layers and riffs that are particularly challenging.

The songs are a lot of fun to play, and really well suited to the game. There are three different venues to play in, and gamers will earn videos and pictures of the band members in return for a strong performance of the songs. Since the band has a career that spans over fifteen years, diehard fans of the band may be disappointed that some albums are underrepresented as far as song choices within the game. Overall though, casual and serious fans alike should find numerous offerings to suit their fancy.

Players who are familiar with other “Rock Band” offerings, such as the recent Beatles version may notice that the Green Day version does not have as many extras and options, but still, it offers many engaging things to do. The vocal harmonies are particularlysuited good for playing with groups of friends, or as an activity at a party.

Those who don’t like either Green Day or music games such as this aren’t suited for this game choice, but for everyone else, it is a welcome diversion.

Gameplay is linear in that you must complete all the sequences related to “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (which occur during the first year at Hogwarts) before you can go through sequences from the third year. The purpose of this is to lead gamers through a loosely constructed plot that is ultimately meant to enhance gameplay because it makes players feel as if they are linked to Harry and his friends throughout the experiences within the game.

For those who are already familiar with the PSP version of this game, they should notice that the Nintendo version is identical. Players will move through levels and participate by solving puzzles, collecting thousands of Lego blocks, and going on quests to find specific essential items. Harry Potter fans will particularly enjoy the ability to help Harry and his friends navigate through familiar landscapes and environments that are integral to the content of the book series. There are two ways to steer the characters through the scenes, and make choices such as casting spells or talking to characters: the stylus or the directional pad. For most tasks, the stylus seems to be the better option.

Finally, in the event of making a mistake within the game, they will usually be able to start over again right from where they had left off. This helps to eliminate any possibility of frustration stemming from making such a mistake in the higher levels of the game, because in this case, all is not lost.

People have been playing games since the beginning of history – they had to find something to do in their spare time, right? Gambling was also part of these games, as it still is today. But games have come a long way since their origins.

The earliest recorded game in history goes back to 3000 BC with Senet, a board game found in one the burial chambers in Egypt. The game board itself has 30 squares and two sets of pawn pieces. The rules, however, are a topic of debate. After Senet there is proof of various other ancient games that used dice, playing pieces and game boards. Then proof of another board game was found in the Royal Tombs of Ur in Iraq that dated back to 2600 BC, now referred to as The Royal Game of Ur. Dice and board games seemed to be a trend for a few thousand years after the ancient times, and many of the games are still in existence and readily played today. Some games you may recognize include Backgammon (2500 BC), Chess (500 AD), Dominos (800 AD), Parchisi (1600 AD), and Mahjong (1859 AD).

Starting in the early 17th century with Cribbage, card games became a hit. Poker followed in the mid-18th century with Pinochle in the 19th century. Gambling also became more widespread with the introduction of games, most notably seen in Poker. Poker is still very popular today – it’s not uncommon to see groups of people sitting around custom poker tables in both home and casino settings. Poker in casinos led to various arcade games like slots and pinball, and now casinos have sprung up all over the world for people to get their share of gambling. The PSP must also be kept completely still, and if the player should happen to move when playing, the game will pause until the movement ceases.

However, the EyePet is appealing and quite cute, and there are many ways to interact with him when playing the game. Also, any users who have played the Playstation 3 version of the EyePet game may notice that several of the challenges are harder to achieve on the PSP version. However, this ultimately increases the overall value of the game because it is not the type that can be mastered immediately.

By keeping the limitations and benefits in mind, you’ll be setting yourself up to be prepared for the experience of caring for a virtual pet in a new, yet slightly restrictive environment.

Those who like role-playing games will rejoice with the inclusion of Arc The Lad III. This marks the final installation in the Arc The Lad series, which got its start in 2002, although a Japanese version launched a few years before that. The game is priced at six dollars and requires players to use tactics to help Alec, the game’s main character to handle challenges and ultimately defeat evil.

Thanks to the fact that the game of Tetris is available through many formats, gamers may have fond memories of this game which span back for several years.
